Motorized Three-wheel Vehicles

Question

Werner asked:

Please watch our video and advise us if we can ride this on public road? Sidewalks? Bike paths? We also have a electric pedelc = pedal assist motor (you still need to pedal the bike). We can put a street legal kit for an ATV on it with turning lights, headlights and rear lights, mirror, horn. Speed of electric assist is about 20 mph average.

Answer

We can’t post your advertising material on the site. If your vehicles meet the statutory definition of a bicycle, an operator would have all the same rights and duties of a bicyclist. No license, no registration and the same rights and duties of any other driver. See the posts on this site about bicycle definition here,

and rights and duties here.
