We don’t offer legal advice on this site. It is recommended that you contact an attorney.

I would like to ask, what is the citation for?
Also, whether your name is misspelled or not, it dependson what other information they have….
Like if they asked for your ID and you gave it to them…
If your ID number is on the ticket, there is nothing you can do.

If they asked you for your name and address and you gave it to them and they wrote both pieces of information wrong, you MIGHT have something there.

If they asked you for your name and address and you purposely gave them the wrong information, to try to circumvent some legal process, that won’t work and can land you in a lot of trouble. (This is probably NOT what happened as they will check on their computer and make sure you gave them the correct info).

    Was it bicycle/bicycling related?

How about giving us the details of the situation and we can then give you the applicable laws.

Your question is completely vague and useless as it stands.
