Duke asked: Do you have to have a driver’s license to drive a bicycle with a small engine?
Answer
If your bicycle with a small motor meets the statutory definition of “bicycle”, a driver’s license is not required. Please see the tags “motorized bicycles”, “bicycle license” and “driver’s license”.
Is the above ansewer correct?? I recieved a citation for driving while suspended. And have to go to court soon. I was riding a 49cc gas bicycle, will they except the anove ansewer at face vaule???. Is 5here any thing I need to do??.
We believe a bike with a gas assist motor is not a legal vehicle. See this post
