Dashed Bike Lane Lines
Question
Herman asked: Why does the line that separates a bike lane from the travel lane turn to dashed at an intersection?
Answer
That is the correct way to mark a bike lane approaching an intersection, as required by FDOT documents. It helps define the proper actions of both the bicyclist and the motorist. Unfortunately, many intersections are not so marked. Please see this post for the details.
